What began as an energy management tool quickly revealed a bigger opportunity. Customers started using Guidewheel to track downtime, manage machines, and run better shifts—and we listened. That feedback led to a pivotal shift, and FactoryOps was born.

Guidewheel was born from firsthand experience. Before founding the company, CEO Lauren Dunford worked in food production, seeing the real-world challenges faced by those in manufacturing.
A platform with a purpose
Lauren partnered with longtime friend and now CTO Weston McBride, an engineer through and through with a shared commitment to impact. Together, they built Guidewheel, bringing on a team of passionate people driven to make a difference in manufacturing.
